BR 600 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 545.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy starting Starts easily, plenty of power, light weight. Only downside is the right shoulder strap no matter how it is adjusted wants to slide off your shoulder probably because the hose and control are on the right. Have to fasten a strap between the left and right straps. Not supplied with the blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best unit I've ever owned Easy to start, powerful, moves everything that falls on our property. I've had several different units - backpack & handheld in the 15 years we've owned this 4 acres in the woods with a 700ft driveway & nothing can compare to the performance of the BR 600. Could be lighter - a couple hours walking around with it on your back is quite the workout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BR 600 ahould be considered the professional standard I own a commercial lawn and landscape business. We us the BR600 because of its reliability, durability and performance. The blower was the top perfomer in the Stihl lineup until the BR700 realease, but we still run all BR600’s. My crews all agree it has the best mix of volume and velocity. Its perfect for everything from mow and go to heavy leaf cleanup. We highly recommend this blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved me hours the first weekend of use! I used to spend 30 minutes sweeping off my garage and driveway, now I’m done in 90 seconds. I used to spend 3 hours raking leaves from my fire pit area, now 5 minutes.Even blows mud and rocks off my concrete driveway in front of my barn. The old growth forest floor on my property has never looked so groomed. Don’t skimp, get this model as it will pay for itself in the first 1-2 days.Might even use it to blow out my wife’s disgusting kids vehicle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Powerhouse This tool. Is the single best piece of equipment I have ever owned. It starts on the first pull every time, as long as I do my part. Economical operation, and I have had zero issues. I was using a BG55 handheld on heavy leaves on a 500 foot driveway in a heavily wooded area. The job took about 5-6 hours and at least 5 tanks of fuel. A BG55 is a great tool for smaller jobs, and I still have 2 of them. Putting the powerful 600 to work on this job cut my time down to about 2 hours, and I didn’t even burn 2 tanks of fuel. This machine was also very good at removing about 12 inches of powdery snow from my new properties’ 600 foot paved driveway. I always use non ethanol fuel with double stabilizer added in all of my equipment. Spending a little more on quality fuel, saves headaches later on. Next new toy for me? A new Stihl string trimmer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power full and dependable I own two of these ones 2yrs old and just bought another just a few months back. Use them daily for lawncare and landscape and they never fail me. Plenty of power and start with ease.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and very easy to use. I was looking at a different model than the 600 and the staff at Allerdice demo'd the 600 with me. I was sold. It has always started on the first pull. It has more power to move layers of old leaves that my old Craftsman blower would start to ripple around. It is easy to get on my back and to fuel up. Thank you guys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BR600 leaf blower have owned hand held blower in past . My only regret is that I waited so long to purchase my new BR600 . It is easy to crank, carries easy on the back, and the blower power of the unit has cut my work time with it in half.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful Blower Have had my BR600 for ca. 1.5 years and am pleased with its performance. I have many large trees on my 1 acre property and my cleanup time greatly decreased with the BR600. Am able to blow a "pile" of leaves into my woods in short order.Having expressed my kudos, my only complaint is the harness. I've read about this complaint elsewhere. One of the shoulder straps tends to slip off when the blower is in use. A hassle as this is not a lightweight unit. Stihl engineers need to get this resolved!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I like out on 10 acres out in the country and I cannot stand crappy tools so naturally when I decided to go for a high end blower I looked to stihls professional line. This blower is amazing, it starts every time (1st pull is warmed up) and then 2-4 pulls when cold (both without useing the primer) very comfortable and powerful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great power, precise handling Love how it's virtually weightless compared to other machines, while not sacrificing any power. I highly recommend this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best way to dry my car I've found. Ok,Ok, YES it is an amazing blower. I use it regularly for this purpose and you can read all the other reviews about how great it blows leaves and anything else that gets in its way. But what I love about this blower is that it will blow all the water off my car after I wash it without me every having to dry it with towels again which I hate almost as much as water spots. So after washing I get out this blower and blow all the water off. What remains are only very fine micro water droplets that do NOT leave ugly water spots when the car dries.I have a pressure washer that I use to apply the car soap. I rinse the car with the hose. Then blow dry with the BR 600. I got my own touchless car wash! The smaller hand blowers don't have enough power to really get the drying job done like the BR 600.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from These 4 mix engines just do not last Bought this blower a couple of years ago. Very compact and blow nice. Mine has broken down several times and finally dropped a valve. They are not easily rebuildable like a true 2 cycle. I only use 90octane ethanol free gas and synthetic oil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to start powerful blower Have used the BR 600 a few times and it runs strong and starts easy. Way better then my old blower I bought at the big box store. Motor is a little louder then most but for the power it is worth it. Just have to get some good hearing protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I have owned my BR 600 for about 7 years and it still cranks on 1st or 2nd pull. The only blower stronger is redmax but redmax feels twice as heavy and it’s very uncomfortable. The BR 600 never once felt heavy or awkward to me and I have been on many ladders and roofs with my baby! I am a tree climber that started off as a brush dragger so trust me I got years of experience taking and using a blower. The BR 600 is the only Blower I will ever use the BR 700 looks cute but yea I’m sticking with my 600 Trust me this is money well spent that will last for years!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The BEST blower in the Stihl line! I ditched an anemic BG-86 in favor of this unit. This blower has the velocity needed to send leaves & needles rolling. The key to this blower exceeding the others is in the smaller diameter tube. This design provides for increased velocity at the nozzle. Plus, the smaller diameter tube is not clumsy like the larger ones on the BG-450/700 models. The larger tubes are more-easily damaged & hard to extend from the telescoping collar. The BG-600 has an optional nozzle that is curved so as to facilitate blowing close & parallel to the ground. This is particular useful in getting large quantities of wet leaves or needles to roll away. It lessens the need for stooping over while operating. I recommend getting one!For those living in snow country, this blower is outstanding in removing powder snow from sidewalks, driveways, decks, autos, overburdened trees, etc.I agree with other reviewers about the need for a breast strap to prevent the shoulder straps from sliding off, but that is an easy homemade fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchase for Regular Homeowner As a regular homeowner, I did a lot of research on blowers before purchasing. We own a home in a nice subdivision, so nothing demanding. I have historically purchased yard equipment from the big box stores. They have typically worked for 3 to 5 years and then died. My previous blower was a gas powered handheld. I was looking for something that would provide me with greater durability and performance. I also noticed recently that my forearms began to experience some fatigue with my handheld blower so I began looking for a backpack replacement. I went back and forth on what model to purchase. Ultimately, I was drawn to the commercial line for its perceived durability and performance marks. I ended up purchasing the BR600. I have only had it for a couple of months so time will tell on its durability. However, from a performance perspective, I have been absolutely thrilled. Again, I am just a homeowner. So when I say that the backpack feature is a BIG DEAL, I am sure all professionals go, "well, yeah.” I love it! I am not sure how I didn't go this route sooner. The actual performance is top notch. I am acutely aware of how underpowered my previous blower was. It also starts very easily which was alway an adventure with my previous blower. Anyway, I have just been super pleased and (so far) would make the same choice had I to do it over again. You could argue that the commercial line BR600 was a bit of overkill, but the power is SOOO nice. The service at Andy's Lawn Machinery has also been excellent; more specifically the buying experience.
